Line Art Tool
Please make sure you know how to use the pen tool at least abit. If not, you may struggle a bit but im sure you can still do it.
Step 1. Okay, first off, have your image ready this is my image, yes i took it with my phone camra as i don't have a scanner, and LOL no this isn't my best work, it was a drawing from when i was 11 i couldn't find a simpler image for the tutorial.

Step 2. This part is optional, if your image is too dark, we can lighten it up abit, so what you want to do is go to filter > poster edges and set it to edge thickness 2; edge intensity 1; posterization 2; then press OK, this should outline your black lines, and just to make it abit more better go to image > adjustments > brightness/contrast and set it to settings you want but i've gone with brightness: 100; contrast 0; go with anything that suits your picture and makes it easier for you, then make a new layer fill it with white and drag it under your picture, then set the opacity of your image to around 50%, now you should have something like this:

Step 3. Now zoom in as much as you want, when your comfterable with it, choose the Pen Tool and make sure this is selected at the top, start making lines around your image, it doesnt have to be curvy as that will be the next step, like this: (click to enlarge)

Step 4. Now select this tool:

And where you see the boxes click on them and drag them untill you get the curve you want that is identicle to the image, now mine looks like this:(click image to enlarge)

Step 5. Now press "D" on your keyboard, which makes your colors back to the default colors (Black and white) then select the brush tool and make sure you have a smooth round brush selected, mine is 3px since my image isnt that big, but if your image is large select a larger brush, now go back to your Convert Point Tool, make a new layer, right click the image and select "Stroke Path" make sure this is what you got:

Step 6. Its Optional to have the "Simulate Pressure" box ticked, why not try it without that first and see how it looks then undo it and do the previous step again but with the "Simulate Pressure" selected, experiment which you like better, i usally have the "Simulate Pressure" checked so it makes the ends smoother but for some reason my photoshop is acting weird and its not working so ill have to stick without it but i recommend you try it.
Step 7. After you have your line, right click again and press "Delete Path" So theres your line! Now all you have to do is do to your whole image, this is how mine turned out (click to enlarge)

Step 8. Now make a new layer fill it white all white and drag it under your top line art layer and there you go your done :)
